Gronkowski, Welker earn All-Pro

Unlike the Pro Bowl, in which players are selected by conference, the Associated Press All-Pro team picks the top players overall. A panel of 50 reporters who cover the NFL vote for the team.

The 2011 All-Pro has been selected (link here) and tight end Rob Gronkowski and receiver Wes Welker are the Patriots who were selected.

Gronkowski set the single-season mark at his position with 1,327 yards receiving, while Welker finished with a league-high 122 catches.

As noted by Barry Wilner of the AP, the 49ers led the All-Pro Team with five players, while Baltimore was next with three players. There were 16 players from the NFC and 12 from the AFC.
