Patriots director of pro personnel Jason Licht will interview for the Bears' vacancy at general manager, the Bears announced.

The Bears fired general manager Jerry Angelo last week after 11 seasons; Licht is one of four outside candidates who will interview for the position.

The 40-year old Licht (pronounced LIGHT) is in his second stint with New England, first arriving in 1999 as a college scout. He served as assistant director of player personnel in 2002, before joining the Eagles, eventually as vice president of player personnel from 2006-2007. After being fired by Philadelphia, Licht spent a season with the Cardinals before returning to the Patriots in his current capacity in 2009.

Licht is the second Patriots front office executive to draw interest in another team's general manager search this offseason. Director of player personnel Nick Caserio previously rebuffed overtures from the Colts, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
