Patriots safety Patrick Chung and Broncos defensive end Von Miller were fined $7,500 apiece by the NFL for unnecessary roughness penalties in last Saturday's wild-card round game.

Both players drew penalties on the plays, Chung hitting a defender late out of bounds in the third quarter and Miller igniting a passionate response from several Patriots for a blindside late hit on offensive lineman Dan Connolly after Tom Brady's quick-kick late in the fourth quarter.
