INDIANAPOLIS -- Pop singer Kelly Clarkson will sing the National Anthem before Sunday’s Super Bowl XLVI between the New England Patriots and New York Giants at Lucas Oil Stadium, the NFL announced Tuesday.
The league also announced that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert will sing “America The Beautiful” as part of the pregame festivities, which will include performances from Lenny Kravitz and The Fray as well.
Madonna will perform at halftime.
Clarkson will become the second American Idol winner to sing the National Anthem before a Patriots-Giants Super Bowl. Jordin Sparks sang it before Super Bowl XLII in 2008.
Pop star Christina Aguilera sang the Anthem before last year’s Super Bowl.
