Super change with media & practice

INDIANAPOLIS -- As part of a collaboration between the Pro Football Writers of America and the NFL, one "pool" reporter is granted access to each teams' full Super Bowl practice.

This is passed along today because it highlights how media guidelines change in the week before the Super Bowl. More information on a player's participation within a practice is learned, and general observations can be made by the pool reporter.

So when it comes to tight end Rob Gronkowski's workload if he attends practice, the pool report from Alex Marvez of Foxsports.com is anticipated at this address.

If this was the regular season, media members would only have access to the start of the Patriots' practice, which includes light jogging, stretching and individual drills.

The Patriots are practicing this afternoon, so the pool report -- which must be cleared through the NFL -- might not be disseminated to all media members until late afternoon/early evening.
