Wake-up call: Shorter practice

INDIANAPOLIS -- A look at what's ahead today for the Patriots:

Shorter practice on schedule. Bill Belichick said that the team's practice will be a shorter one, and mostly reviewing what they went over Wednesday. At this point, the game-plan has been installed and it's just tweaking and review.

Morning media access. Patriots coach Bill Belichick will hold an 8 a.m. news conference at the team's hotel, the University Place Conference Center & Hotel. Defensive lineman Vince Wilfork steps in at 8:15 a.m., while all players and most coaches will be available at 8:30 a.m. Players assigned podiums in the media tent are quarterback Tom Brady, receiver Deion Branch, kicker Stephen Gostkowski, left tackle Matt Light, cornerback Devin McCourty and linebacker Rob Ninkovich. This is the final day of media interviews for players before Super Bowl XLVI.

Any new steps of progress for Gronkowski? Injured tight end Rob Gronkowski has not practiced since suffering a high ankle sprain Jan. 22, but he says he's getting better. At this point, do the Patriots just keep him out until game-time?
