In a piece on the Chicago Sun-Times website, Notre Dame outside linebacker Darius Fleming speaks on his experience at the NFL combine, with a focus on his meeting with Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
"It was a very cool experience,’’ Fleming told writer Mark Potash of his visit with the Patriots. ‘‘He’s a great guy. I really look up to him. I appreciate his coaching style. That’s somebody who I would love to play for. ...

‘‘It was pretty much the same stuff — a lot of background questions,’’ Fleming said. ‘‘There were a couple of football questions at the end [of his interview with the Patriots]. But the biggest thing was character.’’

Fleming is considered a mid- to late-round prospect and is in the "tweener" category at 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds.

This can be part of the fun of the pre-draft process -- using this Sun-Times piece to get to know some of the prospects better. Fleming played a lot of football at Notre Dame (50 games, 36 starts) and is considered a respected leader.

Here is Fleming's combine profile from NFL.com.
