The Patriots have agreed to terms with fullback Tony Fiammetta, according to a source.
The possibility of this happening was highlighted earlier today, with Greg A. Bedard of the Boston Globe reporting an agreement was close.
Fiammetta, who played for the Panthers (2009-2010) and Cowboys (2011), visited the Patriots last week and joins a suddenly crowded position with Lousaka Polite, Spencer Larsen and possibly Eric Kettani.
The Patriots haven't had a traditional fullback in recent years, sometimes lining up a tight end in the offensive backfield. While all the fullbacks won't make the final roster, this could be a sign that the team's running game could have a different look in 2012.
