The Patriots won't play again for another four-plus months, but there will still be a Belichick sighting along the sidelines Saturday at Gillette Stadium.
Amanda Belichick, daughter of Patriots coach Bill Belichick, will roam the same sideline usually occupied by her father as assistant coach for Ohio State’s women’s lacrosse team. Ohio State faces Northwestern at Gillette at 3 p.m.
That contest is the second of a Division I doubleheader, with Harvard/Syracuse squaring off at noon. The women's lacrosse doubleheader is the first-ever women’s collegiate athletic event at Gillette Stadium. Tickets are $15 at the Gillette Stadium ticket office on Saturday. Parking is free.
One other interest of note: Northwestern’s head coach is Hingham native Kelly Amonte. She has developed a connection with Bill Belichick, sparked by the time she called seeking advice about defending a championship.
