One of the more notable sports business stories of the week is that Nike is now the NFL's uniform supplier. Nike took over the contract from Reebok.
On Tuesday, there will be a league-wide unveiling in New York.
In terms of what to expect, the change likely won't be too notable from a Patriots perspective. Unlike a few other clubs that are changing/altering their logo, the Patriots are not.
The biggest change, as noted by ESPN.com NFC West reporter Mike Sando, is probably going to be the fit.
"The Nike uniforms are expected to be more form-fitting," Sando writes. "The difference will be noticeable, but not as profound as they would be with individual team redesigns. The NFL is basically unveiling Nike's version of existing uniforms."
The NFL's news conference with Nike is scheduled for 11 a.m. ET. There had been talk of some players from various teams being present, and given the location of the unveiling not being too far away, one would think there is a good chance a Patriots player could be on hand to showcase the Nike uniform.
