Free agent Dan Koppen, the Patriots' starting center since 2003, is scheduled to visit the Tennessee Titans this week, Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports.
The Patriots re-signed Dan Connolly to a three-year deal earlier in free agency. The pact for Connolly averages more than $3 million per season, which seemingly reflects the team is ready to turn the starting center spot over to him.
Before free agency began, the Patriots had discussed a contract with Koppen. With Connolly now in the fold, it is unclear if the team still has the same level of interest, or how it affects Koppen's mindset in returning to New England.
The Titans previously visited with free-agent centers Scott Wells, Jeff Saturday and Chris Myers, but all signed elsewhere.
