Patriots blog programming note

Things might be a little quieter than the norm here over the next few days.

I'm handing the keys to this car over to Mike Rodak (and also making sure to move the seat back so he doesn't hurt his knees on the steering wheel). Mike will update the blog with pertinent news/analysis whenever possible.

A few programming notes:

Weekly Tuesday mailbag returns April 24. Our weekly Patriots Q&A, which is posted every Tuesday, takes a one-week hiatus.

Weekly Thursday chat returns April 26. That will be the first day of the NFL draft, and gives us one final chance to chat before one of the Patriots' biggest opportunities to make a difference in their team-building for 2012.

10 possible Patriots series continues. Readers should continue to see one entry per day as part of our "10 possible Patriots" series. Our first three -- DL Michael Brockers (LSU), OLB/DE Shea McClellin (Boise State) and KR/PR/RB Chris Rainey (Florida).

Anticipating schedule announcement. The 2012 NFL regular season is expected to be announced within the next few weeks (speculation is Tuesday, April 17 in prime-time). We will have a full analysis of that whenever it takes place.

Nick Caserio's pre-draft news conference. Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio is scheduled to hold a pre-draft news conference on Thursday, April 19. That will also be covered here, among other things.

You might see some other scheduled content from time to time, and as always, feel free to chime in with your thoughts in the comments section of the blog.

Catch up in a bit.
