Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski continues to recover from post-Super Bowl ankle surgery to repair damage suffered during the second half of the Patriots’ AFC championship game victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
But that’s not all he’s been up to this offseason, as it was announced that the 22-year old will be one of 24 contestants to appear in the debut season of “The Choice,” a celebrity dating show set to begin airing on FOX on June 7.
The show involves a blind matchmaking process in which the contestants will be seated in spinning chairs to hear pitches from non-celebrity participants seeking to go on a date. If the celebs like what they hear, they can push a button to signify their interest in taking the participant up on the date, without ever having seen their potential love interest. (More details on the show’s format are available here).
Gronkowski isn’t the only NFL tie to “The Choice,” as other contestants include fellow star Ndamukong Suh of the Detroit Lions and NFL Network analyst and former standout defensive tackle Warren Sapp.
