Bruschi: Ocho 'never got the system'
Tedy Bruschi, Chris Mortensen and Damian Woody discussed the Patriots' release of Chad Ochocinco on NFL Live. For Bruschi, the move came down to the fact that Ocho just never fully grasped the Patriots' complicated playbook.
"He never got the system," Bruschi says in the video above. "Coach Belichick gets in front of those team meetings and tells receivers, 'Guys, you have two jobs, to get open and catch the ball.' He says that but it's not that easy. This offense for receivers is very difficult. It's fluid. It changes on a week-to-week basis. They are constantly making adjustments."
