Former Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco has signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Ochocinco was released by the Patriots last Thursday, after the team was unable to trade the 34-year old pass catcher.
By signing with Miami, Ochocinco will now have a chance to play his former team twice this season, but he will have to wait a while: the two teams don't meet until Dec. 2 and Dec. 30.
In an ESPNBoston.com poll last week, Miami was the chosen as the most likely destination for the 11-year veteran. Ochocinco lives in Miami, and the Dolphins will be followed by TV cameras this summer for the HBO series "Hard Knocks."
