The Patriots made a pair of minor roster moves on Monday, releasing tight end Bo Scaife and offensive lineman Mike Ingersoll, according to a source.
Scaife was signed on June 7 after the Patriots were thin at tight end for the conclusion of their organized team activities and minicamp. The 31-year old veteran had played six seasons (2005-10) with the Titans.
Signed on June 8, Ingersoll was a first-year offensive tackle from UNC who had spent time with the Chiefs and Buccaneers last season.
The moves open up two spots on the Patriots' 90-man roster, which now stands at 88 players as they begin a five-week break before the start of training camp.
