LaDainian Tomlinson stated said that he'd rather be selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame than win a Super Bowl, and it sparked a debate among fans and others.
ESPN NFL Analyst Tedy Bruschi joined SportsCenter to offer his opinion. And clearly, he's not torn on this one.
"I would rather win the Super Bowl championship," he says.
"To get into the Hall, I think the number's 44, right? Forty-four writers, they vote. They decide you were great. ... but a Super Bowl, a championship, is something you earn.
"To win a Super Bowl championship on a team is something you control. You control if you go out and become a champion and win those rings. You have no control about what people think of you. Those 44 voters, they may like you, they may not like you. You can't control that. But you can control winning. And those 31 other teams try to stop you, and try their best to prepare to become champions themselves... but still, you can overcome, you'll have that opportunity to defeat them. And that feeling, to me, is so much more validating to your career."
