The Patriots have agreed to a deal with defensive lineman Tim Bulman.

Bulman, a native of Milton, Mass., attended Boston College High School and Boston College. He was Boston College's Scanlon Award winner as a senior in 2004.

Entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2005, the 6-foot-4, 281-pound Bulman began his career with the Cardinals, playing in eight games as a rookie. Since 2006, Bulman has played in 41 games for the Texans, making one start in 2009.

The signing puts the Patriots at the 90-man roster limit as they are set to begin training camp on Thursday. Bulman projects as a depth option at defensive tackle, where the Patriots will likely be without Myron Pryor (active/PUP) when they open practice on Thursday.
