FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- After three days of training camp, there is already a noticeable rapport developing between quarterback Tom Brady and receiver Brandon Lloyd, who has so far lived up to his billing as a pass-catcher who can work the deep part of the field.

But after practice on Saturday, Lloyd didn't seem quite ready to make the same assessment.

Asked if his on-field connection with Brady was becoming more fine-tuned, Lloyd simply answered: "Not yet."

When a reporter followed up by asking if it was too early to make such a call, the veteran receiver succinctly agreed.

"Way too early," he said. "It just takes time. We'll continue to talk and work together, and see what one another is expecting out of the route-running, and then eventually just start clicking."

Added Lloyd: "Most of the time that kind of stuff happens in the game and everybody's just on the same level. But you can talk, you can discuss, and practice a lot of stuff, but you really figure things out in a game-time situation."
