Heading into 2012, it doesn’t appear that there is any love lost between Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie and the Patriots organization, specifically Bill Belichick.

Cromartie, who once infamously used an expletive to describe quarterback Tom Brady, announced on Saturday his list of the top defensive coaches in all of football, which started with his own head coach, Rex Ryan, followed by Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau.

When asked about Belichick -- widely regarded as one of the top defensive minds in the history of football -- Cromartie offered the following response (via Newsday).

"Did I say his name? It's Rex and LeBeau. I got a one and a two, not a one, a two and a three."

We wouldn’t bank on Belichick offering anything of a public response to the cornerback’s words -- we know enough that that’s not how the head coach operates.

The first of two regular-season matchups between the Patriots and Jets is slated for Oct. 21 at Gillette Stadium.
