Some Saints-based links on their view of today's joint practice with the Patriots:

Delayed arrival on Monday at 5:30 a.m. The Saints arrived in town at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, flying in following Sunday's Hall of Fame Game. James Varney of the Times-Picuyane quotes Saints interim coach Joe Vitt: "When you take a look at the body of work of this [Patriots] organization, they're like the Microsoft of our industry." Vitt also explains what the Patriots do well in his viewpoint (e.g. screen passes, empty formations, odd and even defensive fronts).

Expect a high tempo. A transcript from interim coach Joe Vitt on the Saints' official website reveals that Vitt expects a high tempo at practice. "[It will be] full go up. This is a game of angles and timing, so we want to practice quick, we want to practice with a great tempo, we’re staying away from the quarterbacks and then proper angles to the ball. We want to practice smart." Vitt also noted that Tuesday's practice is expected to be in full pads, while Wednesday's will be in shells.

Evans added as Fox analyst. The media career of former Patriots and Saints fullback Heath Evans is growing, as he was named a game analyst for Fox, SportsNola.com reports.
