Scott Zolak, the former Patriots quarterback and current radio talk-show host on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston, has been named the new game color analyst for Patriots broadcasts, it was announced on Wednesday.
Zolak replaces longtime analyst and Patriot Hall of Famer Gino Cappelletti, who retired from the booth earlier this summer. "Mr. Patriot" was a popular voice amongst Patriots fans, working alongside play-by-play man Gil Santos.
The 44-year old Zolak played for nine seasons in the NFL, the first eight of which were with the Patriots, who drafted him out of Maryland in 1991. He started seven of 55 career games played.
His post-playing career has included television and radio work in both the Boston and Providence markets, as well as his role as the Patriots' sideline analyst for radio broadcasts in recent seasons.
