Things to Watch: Patriots-Saints

In a piece now posted on ESPNBoston.com, Field Yates writes on 13 things to watch for the Patriots in tonight's preseason opener against the Saints.

Some of the areas of focus:
  1. Depth and reps for starters, including quarterback Tom Brady. Last preseason, Brady suited up for but did not play in the preseason opener.
  2. The first chance to evaluate the development of backup quarterbacks Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett since last preseason.
  3. First-round picks Chandler Jones and Dont'a Hightower debut.
