Dueling 53-man projections, v. 3.0

For the third straight year, our Patriots reporters at ESPNBoston.com are offering their projections for the 53-man roster throughout the preseason.

The third installment of the dueling 53-man roster projections is now posted on ESPNBoston.com.

Here are some areas where our reporters disagree on their projections:
  • How does the wide receiver position shake out? Yates leaves Jabar Gaffney off his projection, Rodak leaves off Deion Branch, and Reiss leaves off Donte' Stallworth.
  • Does Dan Koppen make it? Only Reiss includes him on his projection.
  • Who replaces Dane Fletcher? All three reporters have Jeff Tarpinian on their projection, while Yates also includes Mike Rivera at linebacker.
  • Nate Ebner has come on strong lately, and all three reporters have him on their projections. Rodak replaces Josh Barrett with Ebner, while Yates replaces Ihedigbo with the sixth-round rookie.
  • Do the Patriots carry any fullbacks on the roster? All three of our reporters do not have any on their projections.
