TAMPA -- Some quick hits from the pre-game scene before the Patriots/Buccaneers game at Raymond James Stadium:

1. The expectation is that quarterback Tom Brady and the top players will play into the third quarter. It is hot and humid here, and Bill Belichick likes these elements for the team from a conditioning perspective.

2. Not exepecting to see receiver Wes Welker or offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer, among others. So this could be a preview of what life will be like for the Patriots in 2013 and beyond, as Welker is in the final year of his contract. Julian Edelman is the next man up in that slot receiver role.

3. Rookie running back Jeff Demps is expected to dress. Look for him on the kickoff return unit at some point.

4. High-profile agent Drew Rosenhaus is present. He was spotted on the field speaking with one of his clients, Donte' Stallworth. Could be a big night for Stallworth to make his case for a roster spot.

5. The Patriots will wear their blue jerseys with silver pants/silver helmet combination, while the Buccaneers will don their white jerseys with pewter pants/helmets combination.
