ANALYSIS: Brady played into the final minute of the third quarter for his most extensive action of the preseason. ... With Vereen hobbling off in the first half, the idea of a time share became less likely, so Ridley stepped up. ... Lloyd played extensively until the final two series. Seemed like a case where he’s still getting on the same page as Brady. ... With Wes Welker out and Deion Branch having been worked hard in Monday’s game, Julian Edelman served as the No. 2 receiver and finished without a catch. Fells made his debut and was on a play count to limit his action.
