EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Welcome to MetLife Stadium, where the Patriots will play their final preseason game tonight against the Giants (7 p.m., WBZ-TV in Boston; NFL Network nationally).

Weather conditions. It’s a Top 10 evening here in North Jersey. According to Weather.com, the current temperature is 81 degrees. Temperatures are expected to drop from the mid-70s to the high-60s as the game progresses, while humidity is very low (current dew point of 51 degrees). Skies are clear and there is a slight breeze. There is no precipitation in the forecast.

Will starters play? It is not known whether quarterback Tom Brady and the rest of the Patriots starters will play tonight. This will be one area to monitor in pre-game warmups.

King gets the call. Tonight's referee is Don King, one of the replacement officials called in during the NFL’s ongoing lockout of the NFL Referees Association.

Scouts in the house. There are scouts from five NFL teams here tonight, including one from the Patriots' Week 1 opponent, the Titans. There are also two scouts from the Bills, including assistant general manager Doug Whaley.
