The Patriots have agreed to a practice squad contract with wide receiver Sam Kirkland, according to a source.
Kirkland, who went undrafted in April, had been with the Redskins during the preseason. He played in college at Kent State.
As noted by the Record-Courier, Kirkland finished his Kent State career tied for sixth among the school’s all-time receptions leaders with 113. He also totaled 1,130 yards receiving and 1,856 all-purpose yards.
