The Patriots are carrying just two quarterbacks on their current 53-man roster, which has been described as risky in some circles (including here).

But it is far from unprecedented.

Entering the 2012 regular season, the Patriots are one of 13 teams with just two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster. There are 18 teams carrying three quarterbacks, and one team carrying four (Dolphins).

The teams with just two are:

Ravens
Bears
Bengals
Cowboys
Packers
Jaguars
Patriots
Saints
Giants
Rams
Chargers
Seahawks
Buccaneers
