NASHVILLE -- Patriots guard Logan Mankins had the following exchange with a reporter regarding a report from ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter earlier Sunday that Mankins played the entire 2011 season with a torn ACL in his right knee:
Reporter: There was a report before the game that you tore your ACL in the opening Dolphins game last year and played the entire season with it. Is that true?
Mankins: "Yeah, I don't want to get into last season too much tonight. I'm kind of set on celebrating this victory with the team. Maybe next week we can get into that."
Reporter: Did the team know about the ACL or is that something you kept private?
Mankins: "No one knew."
