FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Second-year offensive tackle Marcus Cannon headlined a group of four honored as the Patriots' practice players of the week, the team announced.

The practice players of the week are selected by the coaching staff after victories. Those selected are deemed to have best helped prepare the team in the days leading up to the victory.

Cannon was joined by receiver Julian Edelman, rookie defensive end Justin Francis and practice squad linebacker Jeff Tarpinian.

Cannon likely played the role of Titans starting right tackle David Stewart and/or Titans starting left tackle Michael Roos in practice. He also contributed in the game, playing 34 snaps in a rotation at right tackle with starter Sebastian Vollmer, and then playing the final series at right guard as his versatility was tapped.

All told, a solid week for Cannon.
