Connolly (head) returns to practice

September, 13, 2012
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Starting right guard Dan Connolly, who was held out of Wednesday's practice with a head injury, returned to the practice field on Thursday.

His return meant that all Patriots were present and accounted for on the team's second day of on-field preparation for the Arizona Cardinals, its Week 2 opponent. Connolly's status for Sunday remains unknown, and the amount in which he is able to practice will be listed on the team's injury report, to be released this afternoon.

The team practiced in full pads, and four players - offensive tackle Marcus Cannon, wide receiver Julian Edelman, defensive end Justin Francis, and linebacker Jeff Tarpinian - donned black jerseys, signifying their status as the practice players of the week from Week 1.
Field Yates has previous experience interning with the New England Patriots on both their coaching and scouting staffs. A graduate of Wesleyan University (CT), he is a regular contributor to ESPN Boston's Patriots coverage and ESPN Insider.
