Hernandez injured in first quarter

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez left Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals with an apparent right leg injury.

Hernandez was tied up while blocking on a 2nd-and-9 screen pass to receiver Julian Edelman. He appeared to injure his right leg, possibly his ankle, as he fell to the ground.

He was later helped to the locker room with the assistance of team medical staff.
