Brady named AFC Player of the Week

Coming off a win over Buffalo in which he completed 22 of 36 passes for 340 yards, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

It's the 21st time in his career that Brady has received the honor, tying the record of -- guess who? -- Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, who the Patriots will face on Sunday.

Brady, who earned three Player of the Week awards in 2011, has now thrown for 300-plus yards in three straight games (48th of his career) and needs only one more 300-yard performance to tie Hall of Famer Warren Moon for seventh place all-time.
