FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Tight end Aaron Hernandez practiced for a second straight day on Friday, after having returned to practice on Thursday from an ankle injury.
Friday's injury report, to be released at 4 p.m., will shed more light on Hernandez's status for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Tight end Michael Hoomanawanui, who returned to practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday's session with a concussion, was not spotted at the start of Friday's practice.
Receiver Julian Edelman (hand) and safety Steve Gregory (hip) were not spotted for a third straight day, making it highly unlikely that either will play on Sunday vs. Denver.
