Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo (elbow) was limited in his return to practice on Thursday, the team announced on its injury report. In addition, the team no longer listed him as having an illness, as was the case on Wednesday when he was absent from practice.
The only other change to the team's practice participation report was that tight end Aaron Hernandez (ankle) did not practice after being limited on Wednesday. He was one of six players not to practice on Thursday, joining running back Brandon Bolden, cornerback Ras-I Dowling, safety Steve Gregory, defensive end Trevor Scott, and linebacker Tracy White.
For the second consecutive day, wide receiver Brandon Lloyd (knee) was limited in practice. He was one of 12 Patriots to practice on a limited basis, a group that also included guard Logan Mankins, wide receiver Wes Welker, tight end Rob Gronkowski, linebacker Dont'a Hightower, and safety Patrick Chung.
