New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez had a setback with his ankle injury in practice this week and didn’t make the trip to London for Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams, ESPN NFL Insider John Clayton reports.
Hernandez missed Thursday’s practice, which led to the team deciding to keep him at home. The Patriots have a bye week after Sunday’s game, which gives the injury extra time to heal.
Hernandez injured his right ankle early in Sept. 16 loss against the Cardinals and missed the next three games. He returned Oct. 14 for the Patriots’ game against the Seattle Seahawks, making six catches for 30 yards and a touchdown and had five catches for 54 yards against the Jets last week.
