FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- In a neat scene during the media availability locker room period at Gillette Stadium on Thursday afternoon, Patriots owner Robert Kraft, tight end Rob Gronkowski and punter Zoltan Mesko Skyped (via an iPad) with astronaut Suni Williams while Williams was aboard a NASA space station.

Williams, who is a Patriots fan, holds the record for the longest space flight by a woman and is currently in space, has conducted interviews directly from the International Space Station using YouTube SpaceLab.

Kraft, Gronkowski and Mesko spoke through a cell phone.

The scene was a sign that football isn't just one of the most popular sports on earth, but beyond it as well.
