FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Patriots guard Logan Mankins missed his third straight day of practice on Friday with calf and ankle injuries, and has been officially listed as doubtful to play on Sunday when the team hosts the Colts. Mankins left the team's Week 10 game against the Bills and was replaced by Nick McDonald.
Fellow starting guard Dan Connolly (back) and receiver Wes Welker (ankle) each returned to practice on Friday on a limited basis, and they are among a group of 16 Patriots who are listed as questionable.
Tight ends Aaron Hernandez (ankle) and Rob Gronkowski (hip), linebacker Brandon Spikes (knee), and receivers Deion Branch (hamstring) and Brandon Lloyd (knee) highlight the other Patriots listed as questionable.
If Mankins and Connolly are unable to play, look for reserve linemen Donald Thomas and McDonald, who finished the game in their places last Sunday, to earn starting spots along the line.
In total, the Patriots listed 20 players on their injury report, seen below.
