In a Hot Button debate posted on ESPNBoston.com, we ask: Which group has to step up more in the absence of Rob Gronkowski, the coaching staff (in terms of changes in game-plans and scheming) or the players (we're looking at you Aaron Hernandez, Wes Welker and Co.)? Our Field Yates and Mike Rodak take sides and make their arguments.
Over the last two seasons, Tom Brady has thrown to Gronk 30 times in the end zone, compared to just 49 targets for all other receivers. His completion percentage to Gronk is a whopping 66.7 and just 28.6 to all other pass catchers. That obviously has to change going forward, but which group bares more responsibility for picking up the offensive slack?
Your turn: Which group has to step up more starting Thursday night in New Jersey, the players or the coaching staff? Vote in the poll above and share your thoughts in the comments section.
