Pats-Texans stories on ESPNBoston

In addition to what has been posted on the Patriots blog here on ESPNBoston.com, there are a few other stories on the site:

1. Schaub's first breakthrough came against Patriots. Columnist Jackie MacMullan retraces steps back 2005 when quarterback Matt Schaub, then with the Falcons, carved up the Patriots defense in an impressive regular-season performance. Schaub wasn't supposed to play that day, and the Patriots spent all week preparing for Michael Vick in their own unique way. Seven years later, Schaub is entrenched as the Texans' starter and with a win Monday over the Patriots, he would enter the discussion of the NFL's top signal-callers.

2. Lloyd a target of criticism. Veteran receiver Brandon Lloyd talks with ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss about some recent criticism of his play, as well as his style of giving himself up after a catch. Lloyd is decisive in his remarks. "I trust the coaching staff is doing everything in their powers for us to be successful and win games, which is the goal. I'm 100 percent on board with the direction this organization is going. Period," he says.
