FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Sunday’s Patriots-49ers game was the team’s longest of the season, lasting 3 hours and 40 minutes.

The lengthy game was due in part to a long second-quarter delay as referee Ed Hochuli and his crew sorted out a confusing special-teams sequence that included multiple announcements over the referee’s microphone.

A look at the length of Patriots games this season:

vs. 49ers: 3:40
vs. Texans: 2:58
at Dolphins: 3:08

vs. Bills: 3:12
at Rams: 3:07
vs. Jets: 3:26
at Seahawks: 3:12
vs. Broncos: 3:03
