With the top four seeds in the AFC playoffs still unsettled, the NFL has decided to move next Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium to 4:25 p.m.

The game originally was scheduled for 1 p.m., but the NFL's flexible scheduling allows for the contest to be moved into a later time slot. The motivation behind the move is to make sure the AFC seeds can't be completely locked in by the 1 p.m. results, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The game still will be aired on CBS.

Here is a look at the important games in Week 17, from a Patriots perspective:

1 p.m. kickoffs:
Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts

4:25 p.m. kickoffs:
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos
