FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski left in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Houston Texans after reinjuring his left arm. The team announced his return as questionable.
Gronkowski caught a second-down pass out of bounds, falling on his left arm. The Pro Bowl tight end broke his left forearm in a Nov. 18 game, and returned to play two weeks ago in the regular season finale.
While being examined on the sideline by team medical personnel, Gronkowski grasped several times at his left forearm/wrist, where he was already wearing a protective wrap for the game.
Gronkowski later departed for the locker room.
