FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Rookie defensive end Chandler Jones was the lone Patriots player limited in Thursday’s practice, as his status for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game remains in question. Jones injured his ankle late in the first half of the divisional-round win over the Texans and missed the remainder of the game.
When asked how confident he was that he would suit up for Sunday’s game, Jones was non-committal on Thursday.
“I’m doing everything I possibly can to be out there and play against the Ravens,” he said. “I’m doing my best to get out there as soon as possible.”
Although Jones might not play, he still fielded questions about the possibility of being on the opposite sideline of his brother – Ravens defender Arthur Jones.
Jones, who spoke with his brother briefly this week, said his family will be in attendance for Sunday’s game.
“I feel like it’s a very exciting day for my family. Win or lose, they’ll be happy,” he said.
