Dennard case continues. The trial for Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard continues in Lancaster County District Court in Lincoln, Neb., and Jonathan Edwards of the Lincoln Journal Star has the latest details.
Patriots need Ed Reed. That's the take of ESPN.com's KC Joyner, who says the Patriots need the future Hall of Fame safety to reach the Super Bowl next season. Cornerback a top need, again. Aaron Schatz of Football Outsiders says that for the third-straight offseason, the Patriots' biggest need is to address the cornerback position. Beyond finding a starter to play opposite Dennard, Schatz says the Patriots need a nickel cornerack to play in the slot. Given the team's recent history of drafting cornerbacks, Schatz says it could be time to address the position via free agency.
Kraft honors Sabol. Patriots owner Robert Kraft was among the speakers at a recent memorial for former NFL Films president Steve Sabol, who passed away last September. Kraft referred to Sabol as the "(NFL’s) greatest ambassador."
