(Every day of training camp, we'll have a wake-up call that previews the day ahead.)
1:30 p.m. -- NFL officials rules changes news conference
2:00-4 p.m. -- Joint practice with Buccaneers (open to public)
4 p.m. -- Player interviews
This marks the final day of open training camp practices for the Patriots. Unlike the last two days, which were held in full pads, the expectations is that things will be dialed back and players will be in shorts/light shoulder pads, with the practice at a walkthrough pace.
Naturally, quarterback Tom Brady's presence figures to be a top storyline. ESPN's Ed Werder reported Thursday morning that Brady attended meetings Wednesday night, plans to join his teammates at practice today, and also intends to play in Friday's preseason game.
As for the officials, they have been in town the last two days to work the practice, calling penalties as if it was a game situation.
Referee Jeff Triplette is assigned to Friday's preseason game between the Patriots and Buccaneers.
