Safety Tavon Wilson ruled out

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Second-year safety Tavon Wilson has been downgraded to out for the New England Patriots' road game against the New York Jets on Sunday.

This marks the third straight game that Wilson will miss due to a hamstring injury. The 2012 second-round draft pick mostly contributes on special teams as a member of the "Big 4" units -- kickoff return, kickoff coverage, punt return and punt coverage.

In addition to Wilson, the Patriots have also ruled out cornerback Aqib Talib, defensive tackle Tommy Kelly, wide receiver Danny Amendola and running back Leon Washington.

That means the Patriots have to declare two more players inactive, which will come 90 minutes before kickoff.
