New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick wore a microphone during Sunday’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, and NFL.com has a three-minute clip of the “Sound Fx.”
It started on a lighthearted note with Belichick and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels talking in pregame warm-ups about how small some of the Red Sox players who visited the team are.
There is a consistent theme of Belichick stressing the importance of keeping Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the pocket, and when Roethlisberger connects on a third-quarter touchdown pass with rookie cornerback Logan Ryan in coverage, Belichick takes the hit.
“Dammit!” Belichick says as he jots a note on a piece of paper before talking to defenders on the sideline: “That’s my fault. I [expletive] that up.”
As he addresses players in the locker room after the game, Belichick reminds them that seven wins won’t get them anything in the NFL.
