RB Bolden among Patriots inactives

November, 18, 2013
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Running back Brandon Bolden, who was removed from the injury report on Saturday, is among the team's inactives tonight.

Bolden had been dealing with a knee injury earlier this season while serving as the team's top "passing back" in the absence of running back Shane Vereen, who was activated off the injured reserve/designated to return list Monday. Vereen's return seems to have had a direct impact on Bolden's status.

The Patriots also have five receivers active, choosing a fifth receiver (rookie Josh Boyce) over a fifth back, which could be a sign that they plan to spread the field at times with more receiver-heavy packages.

Also, cornerback Aqib Talib, who has not played since Week 6 with a hip injury, is active and expected to play.

Patriots inactives:
RB Brandon Bolden
LB Steve Beauharnais
G Chris Barker
DE Jake Bequette
RB Leon Washington
S Steve Gregory
CB Alfonzo Dennard

UPDATE: Here's a list of the Panthers inactives.
